Ours is crafted from tightly woven, natural fibres that are UPF 50+ by design, offering real sun protection, not just skin coverage. We use a premium blend of 95% bamboo viscose, which naturally blocks over 98% of harmful UVA and UVB rays - no chemicals or added coatings required.

SPF measures protection via sunscreen, while UPF measures how well fabric blocks UV rays. Our clothing is rated UPF 50+, meaning it blocks 98% of harmful UVA & UVB radiation.

Bamboo viscose is a regenerated fibre made from bamboo, one of the world’s fastest-growing renewable plants.

To create bamboo viscose, the bamboo plant is broken down into a pulp and then processed using a controlled chemical process to extract cellulose and transform it into a smooth, spinnable fibre. This allows the natural plant material to become a soft, breathable textile suitable for clothing.

Although bamboo is the original plant source, bamboo viscose is not a raw or mechanically processed fibre. It is a regenerated fibre, valued in textiles for its softness, comfort, and ability to blend well with a small amount of spandex for added stretch and durability.

We chose this fabric because we wanted a fibre that starts from a natural plant source but can be engineered into a fabric with the density and structure needed for reliable sun protection. When woven and independently tested, this fabric achieves UPF 50+ protection.

Mostly! We use 100% recycled/recyclable shipping packaging wherever possible, and we’re always working to reduce our environmental footprint. Some of our items are received in plastic bags from our manufacturer, and we're working to try to find an alternative to this as soon as we can.

We work closely with a trusted manufacturing partner in China who meets strict ethical and environmental standards. Fair wages, safe working conditions, and low-impact production are non-negotiable for us. They hold certifications for both BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative) & OEKO-TEX Standard 100.

Yes - we don’t use animal products or by-products in any part of our garments or packaging.

To keep your baby’s clothing soft, strong, and sun-safe:

• Cold machine wash with similar colours
• Use mild, eco-friendly detergent
• Do not bleach or tumble dry
• Line dry in the shade
• Cool iron if needed (inside out recommended)
• Avoid fabric softeners to preserve the natural fibres

We recommend air drying to preserve the fabric and reduce environmental impact, but if needed, use a low heat tumble dry setting.

Our UPF safety is a natural property that comes from the tightly-woven 95% bamboo viscose fabric, not a chemical coating. It won’t wash out or wear off, as long as no stretching or degradation due to chemical treatments of the garment occurs.

Minimal shrinkage may occur on the first wash, as with many fibres. We recommend washing in cold water and air drying for best results.
